💫Episode 34 : Calm Isn’t the Goal — Integrity Is: Healing Rage & Speaking Your Truth
Healing Rage & Speaking Your Truth
Rage isn’t a flaw.
It isn’t a personality defect.
And it certainly isn’t something to “get rid of.”
Rage is often the moment your soul says: enough.
In this episode of Collective Guidance, we’re having the conversation many women were never taught how to have—about rage as information, rage as protection, and rage as sacred life force when it’s guided instead of suppressed.
Because calm isn’t the goal.
Integrity is.
Rage Is the Sound of a Boundary Being Crossed
So many of us were conditioned to be digestible, pleasant, understanding, and agreeable—often at the cost of our truth. Over time, what we don’t express doesn’t disappear. It stores itself in the body.
Rage often forms when:
You’ve swallowed your “no” too many times
You’ve been dismissed, minimized, or told to calm down while telling the truth
You’ve carried emotional labor that was never meant to be yours
You’ve been the strong one, the nice one, the reliable one
Rage is not random.
It’s the nervous system raising a flare that something sacred has been crossed.
The Two Paths of Rage
Rage has two expressions:
Protective Rage
This is the rage that creates clarity.
It becomes boundaries, truth, and self-respect.
It’s the moment you stop abandoning yourself.
Protective rage sounds like:
“That doesn’t work for me.”
“I’m no longer available for this.”
“Please don’t speak to me that way.”
Destructive Rage
This is rage that’s been trapped too long without expression or leadership.
It leaks out sideways—through snapping, resentment, burnout, numbness, self-betrayal, overgiving, or shutting down.
Destructive rage doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It means your rage has been starving for expression.
Rage doesn’t want to ruin your life.
It wants to change your life.
Quiet Rage Lives in the Body
Many women don’t identify as “angry,” yet rage shows up as:
Jaw clenching or teeth grinding
Tight throat or chest pressure
Chronic fatigue or burnout
Anxiety, insomnia, migraines
PMS that feels explosive
Irritability, numbness, or emotional flatness
Shutdown is rage turned inward.
If you’re not acknowledging rage, it doesn’t evaporate—it transforms into symptoms.
Rage to Clarity: A Real-Life Practice
In this episode, I share a simple, embodied way to work with rage instead of fighting it.
Step 1: Name It
Hand on heart, hand on belly.
Ask yourself:
What am I angry about?
What boundary was crossed?
What truth did I swallow?
You don’t need to be polite.
You don’t need to be spiritual.
This is truth for you.
Step 2: Move It
Rage is energy—it needs motion.
Walk, shake, stretch, work out
Cold water on wrists or face
Roar, breathe, release safely
Punch a pillow, hit the bed with something soft
The goal is not violence.
The goal is discharge—completing the stress cycle in the nervous system.
Step 3: Lead It
After rage moves, clarity emerges.
Ask:
What am I no longer available for?
What needs to change?
What truth needs to be spoken cleanly?
Rage becomes a boundary, a conversation, or a decision.
This is leadership.
Sacred Rage Is Integrity in Motion
Sacred rage says:
I love myself enough to stop abandoning myself
I can be compassionate and still have boundaries
I can be loving and still be done
I am not here to perform calm
I am here to be truthful and clean
You’re allowed to be intense.
You’re allowed to be direct.
You’re allowed to be a full human woman.
Rage becomes destructive when it’s unconscious.
Rage becomes sacred when it’s guided.
A Closing Reflection
Take a breath.
Hand on heart. Hand on belly.
Rage, show me what you’re protecting.
Rage, show me the boundary.
Rage, show me the truth.
If one boundary, one conversation, or one decision became clear—honor it.
That’s your soul coming back online.
Your rage isn’t random.
It’s intelligent.
It’s protective.
It’s love.
And when guided with integrity, it becomes one of your greatest teachers.
