73 : You Are Not Alone — How to Call on Your Angels When Life Gets Hard
💫Episode 73 : You Are Not Alone — How to Call on Your Angels When Life Gets Hard
"You did not come into this human experience alone. Though sometimes I know it feels like you did. You came in with a team of energy and frequencies to guide you through this life."
That reminder — quiet, certain, and deeply felt — is what Charla Goodnight brings to Episode 73 of Collective Guidance. It's a shorter episode, a more intimate one. The kind that lands like a hand on your shoulder when you needed it most.
If you're in the middle of something hard right now — a decision that feels impossible, a situation that keeps circling, a moment where you genuinely don't know what to do — this one is for you.
The Situation That Led to This Episode
Charla opens with something personal. Recently, she found herself at a pivotal crossroads — a moment of contrast that could have easily pulled her into anxiety, reactivity, or a decision made from fear.
Instead, she did something different. She prayed.
She said the Shema. She called on her ascended masters. She called on the archangels. She assembled her spiritual board of directors and asked them to come in and show her the solution. Then — and this is the part that matters most — she released it.
She shifted her attention to planning a girls' trip. She focused on her kids. She watched something that made her laugh. She deliberately moved her energy toward things that raised her frequency, rather than staying locked in the loop of the problem.
And less than 24 hours later, the situation dissolved. Not because she forced a resolution. Not because she had the perfect strategy. But because she got out of the way and let spirit work.
"That is spirit coming in and saying: I got this for you. Turn it over to me. I am here."
There Is No Problem — Only a Frequency
This is the teaching from Wayne Dyer and A Course in Miracles that Charla has been sitting with deeply, and it's one of those ideas that sounds simple until it lands in your body and changes how you see everything:
There is never really a problem. There is only the frequency we bring to the situation.
When we pour lower vibrational energy into a situation — worry, resentment, fear, obsessive thinking, ego-driven reactivity — we give that situation more traction. We feed it. We keep it alive in the very frequency that prevents it from resolving.
But when we can step back and say: this feels uncomfortable, and I am turning it over to something greater than me — the energy shifts. The situation changes. Not always in the way we expected. Often in a way that's better than anything we could have engineered ourselves.
This is what surrender actually looks like. Not giving up. Not going passive. But making a conscious choice to stop feeding the problem with fear and start trusting the intelligence that is always working in your favor.
Let go and let God. Jesus, take the wheel. Spirit, show me the solution. Different words, same truth. Same invitation.
How to Actually Do This
When you're in the middle of something difficult, here's the practice Charla returns to again and again:
Call on your team. Say their names out loud or in your heart. Your angels, your guides, the ascended masters that resonate with you — Jesus, Mohammed, Moses, Abraham, Buddha, Rumi. Your spiritual board of directors. Whoever you feel connected to. Call them in. Tell them what's happening. Ask for guidance and solution.
Then release it. This is not the same as ignoring the situation. It's choosing not to keep feeding it with anxious thought. Shift your attention. Do something that raises your frequency — something joyful, funny, creative, connective. Let spirit work while you rest.
Trust the timing. In less than 24 hours, Charla's situation was dissolved — not by her, but for her. The universe works fast when you get out of its way.
A Rumi Card for This Season
In a beautiful addition to the episode, Charla pulls a card from her beloved Rumi oracle deck by Alana Fairchild — a deck she has worked with since 2014 — and the card that comes forward feels like it was made for this exact moment:
Beyond the Threshold of Fear.
Here is a portion of its message, and it is worth reading slowly:
"Beyond the threshold of fear, enter the lion's jungle. Don't think about getting hurt. Fearful thoughts are phantoms of the mind. No one is harmed in this jungle. Everything is compassion and love. It is your fear holding you back, like a bar behind the door.
After so long away from home, you are finally returning. Beyond the threshold of fear, you dispense with your doubts, hesitations, cautions, tentativeness. They are old friends with whom you no longer have anything in common. 'Goodbye, old friends,' you say, turning your face to the light of a new and yet ancient world.
You are winning the race, brave one, and fear is left to fizzle out. It is always a far less beautiful firework than your passionate conviction for love anyway."
What this card — and this episode — is ultimately saying is this: you don't have to be afraid of what is coming. You can observe fear. You can have compassion for it. But you don't have to let it bar the door to your own becoming.
The divine is always guiding you. The angels are always with you. You are never navigating this alone — not the pivotal decisions, not the impossible moments, not the seasons where you genuinely don't know what's next.
Spirit knows. And when you turn it over, spirit shows up.
A Challenge to Carry Into Your Week
Charla closes with an invitation — not a task, not a technique, but a knowing:
Walk with the certainty that you are always divinely supported in everything you do.
Not sometimes. Not when things are going well. Always. In the chaos, in the contrast, in the moments that feel most uncertain. The team that came with you into this human experience has never left. They are here, in position, waiting for you to call on them.
Fear not, brave one. Spirit is guiding you.
